Dark Mode & Drag-and-Drop Equipment Management
Switch to dark mode for easier viewing. Rearrange equipment structures by dragging and dropping. Improved search across the platform.
Dark Mode Across the Platform
You can now switch between light and dark themes from your profile settings. Dark mode reduces eye strain during night watches or extended office sessions, and works across every module and screen in the platform. Your preference is saved and applied automatically on your next login, whether you are accessing Navatom from the office or on board.
All charts, dashboards, tables, and form elements have been adapted for dark mode. Colours have been carefully chosen to maintain readability and contrast ratios, ensuring that critical information like overdue maintenance alerts and compliance warnings remain clearly visible regardless of which theme you choose.
Drag-and-Drop for Equipment Structures
Reorganizing equipment hierarchies in PMS is now as simple as dragging items to their new position in the tree. No more deleting and re-creating equipment records just to move them under a different parent. The tree view updates instantly, and all linked maintenance jobs, spare parts, and running hour records follow the equipment to its new location automatically.
This feature is especially useful during fleet restructuring, when vessels change ownership, or when equipment is reclassified after a drydocking period. Drop targets highlight as you drag, and the system prevents invalid placements such as moving a parent item under its own child.
Improved Global Search
Global search has been rebuilt with more relevant results and faster response times. Whether you are looking for a maintenance job, a crew member, or a document, results are more accurate and appear quicker. Search now supports partial matching on equipment codes, vessel names, and document numbers, so you can find what you need even with an incomplete query.
Navigation & Usability Fixes
Breadcrumb trails now display consistently across all modules, making it easier to navigate back through nested records. Sidebar menus load faster on ship-side connections, and the main navigation remembers your last visited section so you can pick up where you left off after switching between modules.
