How is stock tracked on board?
By location and up to 5 tracking dimensions: space, batch, serial, owner and status. Every movement is one of 7 journal types, such as an arrival, a count, an adjustment or a transfer, each with its own approval rules.
How does a purchase move from request to delivery?
Through 6 linked documents: purchase requisition, request for quotation, vendor quotation, purchase order, goods receipt and inventory arrival. Vendor quotations are compared side by side, and Procurement suggests an award by price, delivery time or best value.
Which product codes and batch details can a material carry?
8 product ID formats, including GTIN, EAN, SKU and HS code. A batch-tracked item also keeps up to 6 batch details: manufacturing date, shelf life, best before, expiry, batch number and country of origin.
