Material Batch & Serial Number Tracking

Track materials by batch number, serial number, and owner. Full lifecycle visibility from receipt to consumption with automatic depletion tracking.

Batch Number Tracking

Materials can now be tracked by batch number, giving you complete visibility into which batch is stored where, when it was received, and how much remains. When a batch is fully consumed, it is automatically marked as depleted. If new stock arrives under the same batch, it reactivates — keeping your records accurate without manual intervention.

Batch tracking is especially important for items with expiry dates, certification requirements, or regulatory traceability obligations. During an audit, you can trace any material back to its original batch, supplier delivery, and associated purchase documentation.

Serial Number & Owner Tracking

High-value or regulated items can be tracked by individual serial number. Each serialized item carries its own history — where it has been installed, when it was last serviced, and who owns it. Owner tracking lets you distinguish between company-owned materials, charterer-supplied items, and third-party equipment stored on board.

Batch Edit View & Filters

A dedicated batch management view lets you see all active batches for a material, edit batch properties, and review depletion status. Autocomplete filters for batch number, serial number, and owner make it fast to locate specific items across your entire inventory. These filters are available in material lists, journal entry forms, and procurement documents.

Favorites & Quick Access

Mark frequently used materials as favorites for quick access. Your favorites list appears in the sidebar and in material selection dialogs, so the items you order regularly are always one click away. Combined with the new requisition templates, reordering common supplies takes seconds instead of minutes.
